Hare, Acting Group Operations Officer, was forced to ditch his aircraft in thr Adriatic. The ever alert Air Sea Rescue was soon at the scene of ditching and Captain Hare was rescued with–out any visible affects.” .
Gli altri protagonisti di questa sono i due aviatori del 293° Sqn RAF che a bordo dell’idrovolante Walrus Nr. L2217 decollarono da Cesenatico alle 16,10, lo recuperarono al largo di Cervia e lo portarono in salvo. Si trattava del Lt. K.B. Walker e del F/S W. Burnett..
