3 Balts on armed recce roads Ficarolo - Mantova - Brescia - S.Bonifacio - Ficarolo . 3rd A/C crashed on landing

On the 17th Capt. H.C. Murman (Pilot), Lt. R. Good (Observer) and Lt. J.K. Du Preez (WT/AG) were killed when their aircraft crashed in landing on the aerodrome after returning from an operation. They were buried with full military honours at the military cemetery at Riccione near Rimini. The fourth member of the crew W.O.I. W. Celliers (WT/AG) though badly injured at the time, is now out of danger and on the way to a complete recovery.
