Nr. KV-944 - Crew position: Pilot 2nd Lt. Graham, Joe Scott, Radar Observer F/O Roop, Richard Burton.
Aircraft took off at 1745 hours. When it was unreported 3 and 1/2 hours later, both Blue and White Sectors were notified. All forward GCI stations were asked to stay alert for word from aircraft. They picked up no (illeg) in area that might have been aircraft. The 414th Nignt Fighter Squadron (USAAF) tried to contact him by radio but nothing was heard from it at all. A pilot or the 47th Bomb Group reported seeing a fire at K-6385 at 2115 hours. Location Bergamo/Seriate Airdrome. The 62nd Fighter Wing requested XXXI Tactical Air Command to contact DAF and 600 (RAF) Squadron. This was done and they had nothing to report.
