Missing Air Crew Report: On the night of 29 January 1945, at approximately 19,30 hours, Major John A. Tilton, pilot; 1st Lt. Paul R. Anderson, bomb-nav.; Anthony J. Daniels, S/Sgt., gunner and Edmind W. Fearnley, Sgt., gunner took off in airplane 41-3267 (67) from Grossetto A/D, to run an Armed Night Recon. of the N.E. part of the Po Valley. The airplane failed to return. The pilot checked in with the Sector Controller at Florence before entering the zone assigned. No further contact was made with the pilot or crew.

L'aereo fu abbattuto dalle batterie a difesa dell'aeroporto di Villafranca. Furono rinvenuti tre corpi, quello del navigatore e dei due mitraglieri. Non si ha nessuna informazione disponibile sul destino del pilota Maj. John A. Tilton che dovrebbe essere stato fatto prigioniero.
